The proposal is situated on a beautiful site on an Aegean island. It revisits the hotel typology, proposing a new relationship between artifice and nature and offering an augmented awareness of place. The singular gesture of the roof measures the diversity and complexity of the landscape it inhabits. The canopy filters and refracts light, mitigates heat, and generates sounds as wind blows through. In this dense field underneath, surfaces and walls span columns, offering enclosure for privacy and rest. The structure creates new definitions of place, replacing a typical view with a kaleidoscope of sensations.
